CV-blind policies are just one step in right direction

Last week Lawyer 2B reported that Macfarlanes had joined Clifford Chance and Mayer Brown in introducing a CV-blind policy to recruit trainee solicitors (16 July 2014). This is welcome news and a step that needs to be embraced by all law firms, not just City firms.

As a business broker I have seen many legal practices for sale that did not employ a diverse workforce and suffered because of it. It may not be a measure of success but it will ensure equal rights.

You say "Young ethnic minorities face inequality due to the unconscious bias that exists towards them during the recruitment stage".
A sweeping statement or a self opinionated view with nothing to support it. What proof do you have of this,it can only be an assumption if its an unconscious bias. Would the recruiter say "oh I had an unconscious bias moment there".
Sophie I believe you express such views to either shock or to attention seek, you surely can't believe this yourself. Never mind.
